Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025-11-04
This application (“App”) lets you control your camera via Bluetooth, preview captures, and manage camera settings (including writing configuration files to the camera’s SD card). We respect your privacy and explain below what data is handled and how.
Information We Collect
- Account Login (Firebase Authentication): We support sign-in with email and password. Passwords are processed securely by Firebase and are never stored by us in plain text.
- Wi-Fi SSID & Password (User-Provided): Used solely to configure your camera’s Wi-Fi. Stored only on your device (and/or written to the SD card if you choose). We do not upload these credentials.
- Camera Access Code (User-Provided, Sensitive): Used to authenticate control of the camera over Bluetooth. Stored only on your device (and optionally written to the SD card if you choose). We do not upload this access code.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate users via Firebase Authentication.
- Configure the camera’s Wi-Fi using the SSID/password you provide.
- Authenticate Bluetooth control using the access code you provide.
Third-Party Services
We use Firebase Authentication (by Google) for secure login. See Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Data Storage & Security
- Login credentials are handled by Firebase using industry-standard security.
- Wi-Fi credentials and the access code remain on your device (and/or on the SD card if you choose). We do not upload these values.
Your Choices
- You can clear locally stored Wi-Fi credentials and the access code in the App (if provided), or by clearing the App’s data/uninstalling the App.
- You may request deletion of your account (Firebase Authentication).
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
